AI Policy Insights for Healthcare in Västerbotten

This fellowship at the AI Policy Lab aims to address the challenges faced by the healthcare sector in Västerbotten. The project seeks to understand how AI policies could facilitate collaboration and implementation of new service delivery methods in healthcare. Through collaboration with regional and national healthcare service providers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, this project aims to investigate the implications of AI regulations on the emergence of the healthcare ecosystem in Västerbotten. The central research questions assessing the impact of new regulations, and identifying policy implications for healthcare work. The project integrates ecosystem research and institutional-based views to analyse the conditions necessary for successful ecosystem emergence. Planned activities include studying the adoption of a new healthcare platform and the implementation of chatbots, with outcomes disseminated through workshops, seminars, public debates, academic publications, and future research applications.
