Realising these benefits responsibly is essential, particularly to avoid amplifying existing health inequities or generating unintended negative outcomes. To ensure that healthcare systems remain accessible, resilient, and patient-centered, The AI Policy Lab undertakes empirical research to inform policy and practical applications across multiple levels of the healthcare ecosystem. This spans global health governance and regulatory frameworks through to the design, evaluation, and implementation of localised AI applications in clinical and community settings.
