AI and Democracy

A major focus of the AI Policy Lab is studying risks and opportunities relating to the interplay between Artificial Intelligence and democratic institutions and governance. This work includes engagement with existing policies and responding to government requests for comment, as well as exploring and explaining the impact of the underlying political ideologies and movements on concrete policy outcomes. This strand also includes proposals and advocacy work in favour of a stronger democratic governance of AI through strong institutions and collective organising on the ground.
